It is with great sadness that we announce that Uni Griffon owned and ridden by Lisa Marie Fergusson collapsed and died after completing cross country at The Maui Jim Horse Trials at 1:45pm July 11, 2009. Cause of death is yet to be determined.

The cross country courses are located on public land owned by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. We are privileged to be allowed to use this land. Following are two rules set down by the County, and your cooperation with them will be very much appreciated.

1. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED ON FOREST PRESERVE LAND.
2. EXCEPT FOR GOLF CARTS FOR WHICH WE HAVE A PERMIT, NO UNLICENSED MOTORIZED VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON FOREST PRESERVE LAND. THIS INCLUDES UNLICENSED DIRT BIKES AND ATVs THAT MANY OF YOU USE TO “WALK” COURSES.
